Sri Lankan paceman Lasith Malinga will play for the Melbourne Stars this summer in the domestic Twenty20 competition.
The Stars also completed their lineup on Tuesday by announcing that legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne would captain the team.
Malinga is one of the world's top Twenty20 bowlers and is renowned for his yorkers.
Warne will take over from inaugural Stars captain Cameron White.
Warne said they were having "ongoing" talks with Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt.
Stars president Eddie McGuire said Bolt was "jumping out of his skin" about a role with the franchise.
